barrel sauna lightby Admin

Message: Hi, we are thinking about getting a barrel sauna for our camp in the Adirondacks of NY.  We are off the grid. Have a generator for power.  Winter can be pretty hard with alot of snow. There is just the 2 of us usually and we were interested in the wood fired sauna.   My questions are: Do we need electricity for anything in the sauna? Would be nice without the noise of the generator.  Could a solar light be used inside? Does the cedar have a big odor.  I am asthmatic and the usual cedar closet smell just bring me to my knees. How long would delivery take? About how much would delivery be? If you could send me more info that would be wonderful. Thanks, Mary Walsh

Mary thanks for your questions!  The wood sauna can have a light but I prefer using candles in mine and there is a large window in the fire place that adds a nice light to the inside.   Delivery is about 3 weeks from the time you place your order.  Currently we have a fee shipping promotion to the nearest depot in your area. As for the smell, the wood barrel sauna smells like any ordinary cedar sauna which 95% of traditional saunas are made from.  Certainly not aromatic cedar but a light cedar smell is present.
