This is the right hand swing version of our insulated red cedar sauna door. The slab is solid red cedar with a tempered glass window, pre-hung in its own jamb, and built to take the heat and humidity of a working sauna without warping or binding. It swings outward, which is the safe setup every sauna door should use.
What right hand swing means
Stand outside the sauna and face the door. If the hinges sit on the right edge and the door opens out toward your right, this is the one you want. Quick check: the handle will be on your left as you look at it from outside, and the hinge barrels will be on the right. If that does not match your opening, we list the left hand version of this same door separately.
Why handing matters before you order
Getting the hand right means the door clears your bench, opens toward the way you actually walk in, and does not bang a wall or a railing. On a barrel sauna or a tight room, a few inches of swing clearance decides whether the door opens all the way or stops halfway. Measure the rough opening and note which wall your hinges need to land on before you choose.
Build and fit
Solid red cedar slab with an insulated core and a tempered glass window for light and a view in. Ships pre-hung with the jamb, gasket and outward-swing hinges already fitted. Standard sauna sizing, so it drops into our barrel saunas and pre-cut kits, and it works for retrofits when your rough opening matches. The hardware is corrosion resistant for the damp.
